An easy way to sterilise baby's feeding bottles.

This electric steam steriliser unit is a perfect starter kit for parents with a new baby. Easy to use, the steriliser will ensure that any harmful bacteria is safely removed from your baby's bottles.

The Avent Steriliser can hold up to six 260 ml Avent bottles at any one time. Just add a little water, load the bottles on to the specially designed rack inside the unit, put on the lid and switch the appliance on. A light will glow to show that the unit is in use. This will turn off when the bottle sterilisation process is complete. The bottles will be ready to use in approximately 8 minutes.

You can sterilise the baby bottles and leave them inside the unit for up to 6 hours as long as the lid is not removed. The Avent steriliser can also be used to sterilise up to two Philips Avent breast pumps and accessories.

Steam sterilisation has been shown to be a highly effective way to protect your baby from harmful germs. The intensive heat from the steam kills any unwelcome bacteria. Care should be taken when removing the baby bottles from the unit as hot steam will escape when you take the lid off, if doing so directly after the sterilising cycle has finished. Ideally, you should leave the unit to cool down before removing the bottles.

Professionals recommend that you sterilise your baby's feeding bottles and other feeding equipment for the first 12 months of their life.
